Back Home, Unfortunately

It's Wednesday night and I have finally returned to the Great White North. I'm way too tired to write much now, but I just wanted to say that I had a helluva time in Vegas with everyone.

Unforunately, as of late Saturday / Sunday morning I caught that nasty cold that was going around. I spent the majority of the past 4 days in bed hacking up whatever was left of my lungs after smoking like a fiend and screaming OY OY OY to the endless calls for Lewey. I couldn't even talk on the phone, it was so bad.

Even though my opportunities to hang out with everyone got 'cut short' because of this, I'm very glad I had a chance to at least meet most everyone, even for a brief time.

I'll be back tomorrow with more, but for now I will leave you with this - the single ONLY picture that I managed to take with my camera the entire trip. We were looking through the room service menu and were pleased to see that the Imperial Palace was fully prepared to cater to Iggy:

Two More Days...

Yes, I am thrilled about going to Vegas. I am totally excited about meeting everyone for the first time. But as of this moment - I am looking most forward to the absolute luxury of escaping this within the next forty-seven hours: (see pic)

I have had it with snow and wind and cold. I need to live amongst the palm trees and green grass. Hell, I don't even care if the grass is green, just as long as it isn't white.

Anyways, I am T-47 hours now and am getting ready to leave, though I didn't really anticipate this many last-minute things to do. I have about a week's worth of work to do, plus finalize all the arrangements for while I am gone. This would be much easier without a cat and a kid. Anyways, I probably won't have another chance to update this before I leave, so I wanted to wish everyone who is going a safe flight. I will, however, be updating Card Squad with (non-incriminating ;-) ) reports about the trip.

We do have the cell number that will be active in Vegas, though I am not going to post it on the main contact list because it is Bill's work cell and he doesn't really need a bunch of dial-a-shots (or the like) before we get there, especially since he is in New Jersey until the last minute. If you want to know the number, shoot me a quick email at: joanne1111 at gmail dot com.

I am very excited about CJ's last longer bet, and hand-picked my team of Maudie and Gracie. Though there are many people who topped my list, these two stood out as the perfect match. Thankfully, they were both available! Just. Can't. Wait.

See you all in a few days. For those of you who aren't able to make it, you will definitely be in our thoughts.
